Marcus Aemilius Lepidus († 152 BC ) was a politician of the Roman Republic .

Career

He is mentioned for the first time as a member of an embassy that dated 201/200 BC. BC to Ptolemy V and Philip V traveled. After he died in 193 BC He was curular aedile and in 191 as praetor of Sicily, he became 187 BC. First time consul . In this office he fought against the Ligurians . Pontiff since 199 , Lepidus was 180 BC. BC Pontifex Maximus and was valid until his death in 152 BC. As one of the most important members of the Roman nobility .
