Marcus Haislip (born December 22, 1980 in Lewisburg , Tennessee ) is an American basketball player who plays at a height of 2.08 m on the position of power forward .

Career

Haislip began playing basketball at Marshall High School in his hometown of Lewisburg, Tennessee. In 1999 he moved to the University of Tennessee , where he was active for three years. After Haislip was elected 13th in the NBA draft of the Milwaukee Bucks in 2002, he moved to the NBA, where he was under contract for two years with the Bucks and one more season with the Indiana Pacers . In 2005 Haislip moved to Europe for the first time. In Turkey he played for Fenerbahçe Ülkerspor and Efes Pilsen , made his debut in the ULEB Euroleague and won the Turkish Cup with Efes Pilsen, which was to be the first title of his professional career. After two more seasons with Unicaja Málaga and a renewed engagement in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs , Haislip moved in January 2010 to the Greek top club Panathinaikos Athens . Since December 2015 he has been playing in Turkey again, for the third time, this time for Türk Telekom Ankara .
