history

The Club Baloncesto Málaga association emerged in 1992 from the merger of the two ACB teams Unicaja Ronda and Mayoral Maristas . The Caja Ronda association was founded in 1977. The Mayoral Maristas association emerged from the Ademar Basket Club from 1953, which was renamed CB Maristas de Málaga in 1972 and was promoted to the ACB league in 1988 .
