Marcy Walker

Marcy Walker (born November 26, 1961 in Paducah , Kentucky as Marcy Lynn Walker ) is an American youth and child pastor / missionary and actress , known for her appearances in various soap operas . Her best-known roles include Liza Colby in All My Children and Eden Capwell-Castillo in California Clan .

biography

The family moved frequently because of her father's job, a businessman who worked in the field. Walker also spent some time of her childhood in Switzerland and Iran. She completed her acting degree at Southern Illinois University .

Walker experienced her first success in 1981 with the role of Liza Colby in the US soap opera All My Children . For this she was nominated for an Emmy in 1983 and 1984 .

However, she achieved the greatest success and notoriety in the role of Eden Capwell in the US soap opera California Clan . Her love story with Cruz Castillo, played by A Martinez , has become one of the most famous and popular in the world of soap operas. In 1989 she was not only nominated for the Emmy for this role , but also won this time for her outstanding portrayal as a victim of rape and its consequences.

She also appeared in the cinema productions Heisse Ferien and Talking About Sex .

Marcy Walker was married five times, including to actor Billy Warlock . From her marriage to Stephan Collins she has a son, Taylor Collins (* 1989 ).

In 1999 she married her current husband, Doug Smith. Since then she has been known as Marcy Walker-Smith or Marcy Smith .

Mission Background

On August 5, 2004, it was announced that she would be serving as a youth and child minister at Hope Church in Wilton, Connecticut.

In the spring of 2005, after going back and forth between two roles, as an actress and part-time pastor, she decided to pursue the Christian on a full-time basis. Later in 2005, she began serving at Lake Forest Church in Huntersville, North Carolina as the director of the Children's Mission.

On July 22, 2010, she announced on her Facebook page that she had resigned from her position as a member of her church to take up the position of another church in Charlotte. The mission pastor from her former church once said, "Marcy is the coolest."

In 2011 Marcy joined the LifeChurch.tv team in Edmond.
