action
Fearless policewoman Shivani Shivaji Roy is the chief inspector in the criminal industry. She lives with her husband Dr. Bikram Roy and her niece Meera in Mumbai . Shivani takes on a case that changes her life. A youngster, Pyaari, who is like a daughter to her, is kidnapped by the black market mafia and smuggled outside of Mumbai. Shivani successfully tracks down the Mafia boss Walt. Walt notices that Shivani is on him and calls her on a cell phone that he sent her in a box. He wants to know from her why she is chasing him. She tells him about her request and asks Walt Pyaari to be released. However, it is no longer possible for him to do this because the girl has already seen too much. Shivani threatens Walt and tells him that she will catch him in 30 days. Walt doesn't like this at all, so he tries to dissuade Shivani by brutally cutting off Pyaari's little finger and mailing it to Shivani. When Shivani continues the persecution anyway, men assigned by Walt humiliate Shivani's husband, Dr. Bikram Roy in public. He is accused of abusing his patients. Bikram's face gets smeared with dirt outside his front door. Shivani, who went to sleep after the investigation, wakes up to the noise and rushes downstairs to see what's going on. When she sees that Bikram is helplessly in the center, Shivani looks at him desperately because she knows that Walt wants to threaten Shivani through Bikram. While Shivani is stuck in a traffic jam, two conspicuous men approach her. She recognizes the danger and escapes at the last second by jumping on a passing bus. Shivani interrogates various men who may know something about the disappearance of some of the girls. She gets a hot tip and comes to Karan's house. She makes her way to his house undercover. Karan's mother opens the door for her and lets her in. Both women talk to each other and drink tea. Shivani suddenly faints. Karan's mother mixed something in her tea. When Shivani comes to, she is lying on the floor with her hands tied behind her back and in front of her is Karan alias Walt. He tells her that what he does is his job and that he doesn't like it when someone prevents him from doing his job. He escorts Shivani outside of Mumbai to the place where the other kidnapped girls are.
The kidnapped girls are abused as prostitutes in a night club. Under bad circumstances, they are held in a group with girls between the ages of 12 and 15 and supervised by a woman. The teenagers can choose either to die or to live in short dresses with parties. Shivani is placed in a cloakroom in which the girls are being prepared for their work. The girls are sent out; only then is the sack in which Shivani was escorted opened. Pyaari was skeptical when she saw the sack and returns. Shivani begs so that she can hug Pyaari. She gives her consent to work as a prostitute if they stop doing anything to Pyaari. Pyaari immediately jumps into Shivani's arms. After a short while, Shivani is handcuffed by the arms and legs and made ready for her first client, the minister. Shivani asks if he is planning to rape her. He replies that she should defend herself, because only then will the fun begin for him. Suddenly Shivani stabs his hand with a knife and unleashes himself. She leads the minister into the club and threatens to kill him there. Walt cannot afford to have the minister murdered in his club, so he accepts Shivani's demands that the girls be released. Walt should lead her and the girls into a room. She tells him that she was prepared for this situation and that everything was thought out. Walt should lead Shivani to the girls. She planned everything in advance. A few days before she knocked on Karan's door, she spied on him. From the call to prayer in the background of the phone call, she noticed that the call had been made near the house. Walt wants to kill Shivani. Shivani challenges him to a duel, without weapons. After a long fight, Walt is on the ground. The kidnapped girls who watched the whole thing in the background kick him out of anger until he dies.
music
Although it is actually common for Bollywood films to have several songs composed for one film, this is not the case in Mardaani. The Indian national anthem was visualized with police women and young girls, including Rani Mukerji with her niece. Mardaani Anthem is the only song that is played during the film.
