Marek Jóźwiak (born August 21, 1967 in Raciąż , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Jóźwiak began his career at Błękitni Raciąż . In the following years he also played for Mławianka Mława and Śniardwy Orzysz in the amateur field, before joining Legia Warsaw in 1988 . Here he made his debut in the Ekstraklasa and quickly secured a regular place as a central defender. In 1992 he was appointed to the Polish national team for the first time. In 1996 he moved to France to EA Guingamp . He spent five seasons here before moving to Shenyang Jinde in China in 2001 . However, his stay in China was short-lived and he returned to Legia Warsaw in Poland that same year . At Legia he played until 2005 and also ended his active professional career here. With Legia Warsaw he won several championships and cup wins.

National team

For the Polish national football team , Marek Jóźwiak completed 14 international matches from 1992 to 1998.

After finishing his professional career, Marek Jóźwiak worked as a talent scout for Legia Warsaw together with his former teammate Mariusz Piekarski . You were instrumental in the transfers of Moussa Ouattara , Edson Luiz da Silva and Roger Guerreiro to Legia Warsaw. Jóźwiak has been Sports Director at Legia Warsaw since March 2010.
