Marek Oravec (born December 27, 1983 ) is an Austrian stage and film actor .

life and work

At the beginning of his career, the actor took on three leading roles at the Murauer Festival Shakespeare in Styria in English: 2006 the Caliban in a Nicholas Allen production of The Tempest , 2007 and 2009 the male title role in Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth ; both directed by Daniel Winder .

At the Tabard Theater in London he played Goethe's Faust under the direction of Cecil Hayter and made his debut at the Royal National Theater in 2011 in Arnold Wesker's The Kitchen . It was staged by Bijan Shebani. The actor has lived and worked in Great Britain since 2010.

In addition to a number of smaller and larger film roles, Oravec also appeared in several TV productions, for example in the action crime series Crossing Lines , alongside Anna Friel in the TV drama The Psychopath Next Door , and for the BBC in the daily soap opera Doctors , the crime series New Tricks - The Crime Specialists , the science fiction series Torchwood and the talk show The Dinner Party .
