Artistic work

Paraskos' artistic focus is painting. The Greek newspaper Kathimerini sees her work "inspired by philosophy, mythology, the poetry of Homer and Ovid and the rural way of life". This topic leads to strong colors and "free flowing gestures that are characteristic" for her work.

These have been issued in Cyprus, the UK and other countries. This includes in March 2015 Paphos took place in Cyprus exhibition "Travelers to ( 'from' in the original English.) To Antique Land" (tour of an old country), whose title at the famous poem Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelley inspired . In an interview about the exhibition, Paraskos said the poem and this exhibition share the inspiration that emanates from the mystery associated with first contact with a foreign ancient culture.

This is a poetic approach to painting, according to Nadia Anaxagorou, who wrote about Paraskos' work in 2012 and stated: “In a universe shaped by painting, in which the rules of order, proportions and gravity are suspended ... In the areas where reality and logic mix with dreams and fantasy, one figure emerges from the other. ”A strong desire to use art to convey feelings through color and shapes is unmistakable in her claim by trying with her work To express “strong feelings through rich colors, abstract shapes and personal symbols”.

Paraskos himself says about her work: "... My work consists of fragments of mythology , folk influences and elements of the large sculpture wall in Lempa ... What is special about it is the overlaying desire to transform these fragments into mysteries and symbols."
