Margareta Elisabeth Böckh (born March 23, 1952 in Elz ) is a German local politician of the CSU . She is the second mayor in the Swabian town of Memmingen .

Life

Margareta Böckh was born on March 23, 1952 in Elz in the Westerwald. After graduating from high school, she studied educational science at the University of Giessen . She worked in Memmingen as a teacher at the Lindenschule and the Elsbethenschule, and also at the Heimertingen primary school. She was the vice-principal at the Memmingerberg elementary school before moving to the Sontheim elementary school as principal from the 2007/2008 school year. Since her election as second mayor of Memmingen, she has been on leave of office as rector.

Margareta Böckh has been married since 1974 and has three grown children. She is honorary chairwoman of the Memmingen district association of the German Child Protection Association , which she headed for 21 years as chairwoman, founder and long-time director of the Amendingen dialect theater, advisory board of the Memmingen correctional facility , lecturer and communion assistant in the parish of St. Ulrich in Amendingen , soloist in the church choir and member of various others Memmingen clubs.

Local politician

Margareta Böckh joined the CSU in 1991. She was elected deputy chairman in 1995 and to the Memmingen city council in 1996. She became the district chairwoman of the CSU Women's Union in Memmingen in 1997 and accompanies the office until 2019. She was elected Second Mayor in 2010, 2014 and 2020. After the death of Lord Mayor Markus Kennerknecht on December 28, 2016, she took over the official business as his deputy until the new Lord Mayor Manfred Schilder was sworn in on March 22, 2017. During this time, the city budget and the ancillary budget such as clinic and hospital were adopted Foundation budget.
