Margarete Berger-Heise , b. Linsner, until 1957: Margarete Heise, (born January 11, 1911 in Berlin ; † March 27, 1981 there ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

Margarete Heise attended elementary school and then the Viktoria technical school. From 1927 to 1932 she worked as a flower arranger and seller. From 1931 she was involved in the social commission of the Central Association of Employees . In 1933/34 she was an office clerk and then a housewife. From 1942 she attended a private business school in Berlin, after which she was a manager of a Berlin publishing house from 1944 to 1947.

Political party

In 1928 Heise joined the Socialist Workers' Youth , and in 1932 also in the SPD. From 1946 to 1949 she was the leader of the SPD women's group in Berlin-Weißensee and since 1950 SPD district chairwoman in the East Berlin district of Weißensee . Heise had been a member of the SPD state executive since 1949. After the Wall was built, she lived in Berlin-Tempelhof.

MPs

From 1950 to 1953 Margarete Heise was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . From 1953 to 1969 she was a member of the German Bundestag .
