Margarete Haase (Manager)

Margarete Haase (* 1953 in Neunkirchen ) is an Austrian manager. She has been a member of the supervisory board of Fraport AG and ElringKlinger AG as well as a member of the executive board of Deutz AG since the beginning of 2001 . Haase was 2011 by the Financial Times Germany for Manager of the Year chosen.

Life

Margarete Haase completed her degree in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics in 1984 . She then received her PhD from Harvard Business School (Executive Education Program) in Boston.

She began her professional career in 1979 at Kapitalbeteiligungs AG in Vienna. In 1983 she switched to RZB-Leasing. From 1987 to 2007 she worked at Daimler-Benz AG (since 2000 DaimlerChrysler AG) in various managerial positions, including responsibility for corporate finance, aerospace sales finance, and commercial management of the Berlin engine plant.

In 2007 she became a member of the Board of Management of Daimler Financial Services AG, Berlin, and has been a member of the Board of Management of Deutz AG , Cologne, since April 2009 , responsible for finance, human resources and investor relations. Since the beginning of 2011 she has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Fraport AG, and since December 2011 a member of the Supervisory Board of the automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen . Haase advocates the quota for women in DAX companies. Margarete Haase is one of the first to sign the Berlin Declaration, an initiative of women’s associations and parliamentarians for more equal opportunities in business. She herself is one of only two women in the 80 German DAX and MDAX companies who work as CFO.

Haase is married and has one child.
