Margarethe Andersen

Margarethe Andersen , also Margarete Andersen (born October 10, 1899 in Magdeburg , † November 14, 1998 in Magdeburg) was a German actress .

Life

Andersen took acting lessons from Walter Bruno Iltz in Dresden . She made her debut in Chemnitz and received engagements at the Staatstheater Dresden and the Nationaltheater Weimar . From 1950 she played at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen . There she was seen in 1955 as Marthe in The Alpine King and the Misanthrope , Hanna Kennedy in Maria Stuart and as an aunt in Federico García Lorca's Doña Rosita Remains Single . She also took on some small roles in film productions. According to the German Stage Yearbook of 2000, she died on November 14, 1998 in Magdeburg.
