Margitta and her daughters
Margitta and her daughters was a German singing quartet in the field of popular hits . Margitta Weise (born February 25, 1958 in Döbern ) and her three daughters, Carina (born September 28, 1978 ), Anja (born June 6, 1982 ) and Maria (born April 18, 1985 ) in Bad Muskau belonged to him .
Career
The musical family sang together since the early 1990s. The Mühlenhof musicians became aware of the quartet and hired their daughters Carina and Maria as soloists. In 1995 the family became musically independent, and in 1996 they had their first success with the song Mutti, you are our best piece .
The formation took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1998 and achieved 4th place with the song Love makes everything good again . In 1999 they were represented with order must be in the German preliminary decision and in 2000 they reached 10th place with love dries all tears .
The quartet has occasionally appeared on popular television and radio broadcasts. The repertoire included popular hits, hits, oldies, country, swing and a cappella chants. In the meantime, the four could also be seen as moderators. They performed twice live through the Long Saturday of the MDR .
In 2007 the quartet disbanded and on June 24th the farewell concert took place in Sangerhausen. Mother Margitta had already released her first solo single Ein neue Tag in January 2007 . The daughters Carina, Anja and Maria, on the other hand, formed a trio from then on under the name Sister Heart ; their debut album titled Zarte Gang was released in May 2007.
