Margret Wenzel-Jelinek

Margret Wenzel-Jelinek (also Margret Dieberger-Wenzel-Jelinek ; * before 1957 in Bozen ) is an Austrian photographer and painter .

Life

She began her training as a photographer at the Höhere Graphische Bundes-Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna and continued this at the academy in Zurich .

Reports in fashion and politics for daily newspapers and magazines were among her first professional tasks. From 1957 she created works of still photography for Austrian and American films and in 1958 she opened her own studio for fashion and advertising photography and published the first Austrian fashion supplement a. a. in the courier out. In 1959 she passed the master's examination for photography .

From 1969 works of political photography a. a. Chancellor election campaign for Bruno Kreisky and Helmut Kohl , press work for Margaret Thatcher , press and poster photography for election campaigns at home and abroad.

She lives and works in Vienna. Since 1990 she has been a member of the Künstlerhaus Wien .
