The pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Wartha , today the Polish town of Bardo in the powiat Ząbkowicki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship , was built in the Baroque style from 1686 to 1704 with the help of the Hungarian architect Michael Klein , who lives in Neisse . The church dedicated to the Visitation of the Virgin Mary is a protected cultural monument . In 2008 she received it from Pope Benedict XVI. awarded the title of a minor basilica .

The church was built as a gallery basilica on the site of a previous building. The main facade was decorated with evangelist figures from 1873 to 1875, created by the sculptor Ignatz Rinke.

Furnishing

The high altar , in which the miraculous image was originally located, was created by the sculptor Nikolaus Richter. The altar painting of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary was created by Michael Willmann .

The pulpit with the figure of Christ and the evangelists on the pulpit as well as the Church Fathers and God the Father on the sound cover was created by the Ottmachau sculptor Johann Joseph Weiss in 1698 .

The rococo organ prospect with the Trinity group and the figures of saints on the pillars were created by the sculptor Heinrich Hartmann from Wartha between 1755 and 1759.
