Mariä Namen is a Roman Catholic branch church in Nennslingen , a market in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The building is located outside the town of Nennslingen, west of the town center and has the address Kirchweg 5. The church has not been entered in the Bavarian list of monuments by the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments . The Mariä-Namen- Church has been a branch church of the Pfraunfeld parish since 1960 .

The church, which began in 1957 and was consecrated in 1958 by the Eichstätter Bishop Joseph Schröffer , is one of the youngest sacred buildings in the district and was built for the residents of the mainly Protestant Nennslingen, who moved here as refugees or expellees . On the front there is a glass painting by the artist Emil Böhm , which shows the Mother of God as a protective cloak Madonna . In 2002 a popular altar with a representation of Christ was consecrated. A special feature of the church is that it was built on an oval floor plan.
