Maria Haidinger
Maria Haidinger (born August 9, 1950 in Salzburg ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and gynecologist . From 1999 to 2004 she was regional councilor in the Salzburg regional government .
Life
Haidinger attended elementary school in Salzburg- Nonntal from 1956 to 1960 and then from 1960 to 1969 graduated from the Bundesrealgymnasium Salzburg . After 1969, the graduation had taken off, she studied from 1969 medicine at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1976 for Dr. med. univ. In 1977 she began her training as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics at the Salzburg State Hospital , and in 1988 she became senior physician at the Department of Gynecology at the Salzburg State Hospital. Maira Haidinger started her own practice as a gynecologist in 1991 and founded the health center "ISIS - Health and Therapy for Women" in 1994, of which she was chairman until 2002. After leaving the state government, Haidinger returned to her ordination. Her practice focuses on advising and treating women going through menopause, treating women with breast cancer, uterine cancer and ovarian cancer and treating menstrual disorders in young girls and women, as well as advising on the use of birth control pills .
Maria Haidinger is the mother of the Salzburg City Council for the NEOS seated Barbara Unterkofler .
Politics and functions
Haidinger became a board member of the Austrian Cancer Aid of the Salzburg Section in 1995 and in 2001 took over the function of chairwoman of the Salzburg hospice movement. From April 27, 1999 to April 28, 2004, she was State Councilor for Health in the state government of Schausberger II and, among other things, led the departmental hospitals and childcare.
