Architecture and history

The church was built in 1820 as a plastered hall church on a rectangular floor plan. To the west of the ship is the square church tower made of bricks. The upper two floors of the tower and the pointed helmet were put on after a fire in 1898/1899.

The windows of the church are designed as simple pointed arch windows. Below the grooved eaves cornice is a quatrefoil frieze . A crypt with a stepped gable and colored glass windows was added on the north side in 1905 . The stairs leading to the pulpit are located in a small annex on the east side .

The basement of the tower is spanned by an umbrella vault decorated with tendril ornaments . The nave has a wooden ceiling. In the ship there are two rows of tapered, wooden round supports. A gallery has been added on the west side. In 1907 the ceiling, gallery, stalls and supports were decorated with ornamental paintings. The neo-Gothic furnishings of the church, especially the pulpit altar and organ , also date from 1907. The baptismal font was added in 1911. There is also a tiled stove with an openwork gable roof.

Between 1993 and 1997 the church was restored.
