organization

The organization of the church district is based on the rules laid down in the constitution of the regional church (Art. 39–65).

The highest organ of the church district is the elected for six years circle Synod . It elects the superintendent who, together with the district council, exercises direct supervision over the ordained employees of the parish, advises the parishes and district church institutions in the context of regular visitations and introduces the pastors to their office. A preaching assignment is also tied to the office of superintendent. The office has been held by Uwe Simon since 2011.
