Church district of Prignitz
The Prignitz church district belongs to the Potsdam district of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia . The seat of the church district, the superintendent, is in Perleberg at Kirchplatz 6 next to the church of St. Jakobi . The "Prignitz Church District" was created on July 1, 2013 through the merger of the Perleberg-Wittenberge and Havelberg-Pritzwalk Church Districts. On July 1, 2016 it merged with the Kyritz-Wusterhausen parish, whereby the name "Prignitz parish" was retained.
location
The Prignitz parish is the westernmost parish of the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. In the north-west of Brandenburg it essentially extends over the Prignitz district . It also includes communities in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district as well as communities in the states of Saxony-Anhalt and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , which historically belong to Prignitz .

The parish district includes the 29 parish districts Bad Wilsnack , Berge- Neuhausen, Breddin - Barenthin , Glöwen - Schönhagen , Gulow, Gumtow , Havelberg , Heiligengrabe , Jäglitz-Nadelbach, Karstädt -Land, Kolrep , Kyritz , the Ev. Hope parish Lögow, Lenzen - Lanz - Seedorf , Lindenberg- Buchholz , Meyenburg , the parish Neustadt , Perleberg , Pritzwalk , Putlitz , Rühstädt , Seddin , Segeletz, Sieversdorf , Uenze- Rosenhagen -Krampfer, Westprignitz, Wittenberge -Land, the parish Wusterhausen and Zernitz .
On March 5, 2017, Pastor Eva-Maria Menard took over the office of superintendent of the Prignitz church district.
