History and description
The church replaced a broken chapel that was built in 1836 and consecrated in 1838. The new chapel dates from 1939 according to plans by the architect Andor Ákos . Your hall has a wooden barrel vault with a straight choir closure . Light streams in through arched windows. The chancel is separated from the nave by a choir arch . A wall panel extends up to the ceiling. The saddle roof is designed asymmetrically as a structural accent. On the roof in the south there is a square roof turret with a bell.
Furnishing
There are several paintings inside the Ákos Church; one from the 17th century shows the Emmaus disciples , the other shows Our Lady and is signed L. Caspar Weiss 1865 . The two baroque wooden figures represent St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena .
