Maria Isabel of Spain
Maria Isabel de Borbón (born July 6, 1789 in Madrid , † September 13, 1848 in Real Citio de Portici ) was an infanta of Spain and was queen of the two Sicilies by marriage from January 4, 1825 to November 8, 1830 .
Life
Maria Isabel was born as the daughter of King Charles IV of Spain and his wife Maria Luisa di Borbone , Princess of Parma. There is a high probability that Maria Isabel was not the birth child of King Charles IV of Spain, but came from the relationship of Maria Luise von Bourbon-Parma and her lover Manuel de Godoy .
On October 6, 1802, she married Francesco I di Borbone , the then Crown Prince of Naples-Sicily , son of King Ferdinand I of Naples-Sicily and Archduchess Maria Karolina of Austria .
Maria Isabel died in 1848 at the age of 59.
