Maria Lettberg was nominated for the Grammy Award 2018 in the category "Best Classical Instrumental Solo" (best classical instrumental solo performance).

Occupation with the work of Alexander Nikolaevich Scriabin

Maria Lettberg is an interpreter of the music of Alexander Scriabin . In 2007 she presented the complete recording of his solo piano work on eight CDs, in 2012 also his “Opus posthum” - the early works of Alexander Scriabin and his son Julian, which remained without an opus number. The latter CD contains several first recordings by Scriabin.

Based on Scriabin's ideas, Maria Lettberg initiated and led two projects under the title “Mysterium” (with Kaisa Salmi, Finland, and Andrea Schmidt, Germany). Musical and visual aspects were combined in both productions to form a synaesthetic work of art.

In 2008 Maria Lettberg received her PhD from the Sibelius Academy . The topic of the dissertation was a "Historical overview of tendencies in the interpretation of Alexander Scriabin's Piano Sonata No. 10. A comparative pianistic analysis".
