Maria Minzenti
Maria Minzenti , born in Maria Mindszenty , also Maria Mindzenty and Maria Menti (born May 21, 1898 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary , † April 19, 1973 in Vienna , Austria ) was an Austrian actress and dancer .
Life
After training in ballet, she went to the Vienna State Opera and became a ballerina there . From 1920 she also received film roles. In 1921 she took over the portrayal of the title character in Merista, the dancer , after which she embodied mostly elegant, graceful young women in leading and important supporting roles.
After about a decade, when the sound film era began, Minzenti's film career was almost over. She continued to work as a dancer and later a ballet master at the dance stage and went on a few tours. She also tried her hand as a costume designer and writer .
