Maria Reiter (musician)

Maria Reiter (* 1968 in Bad Tölz ) is a German accordionist .

Life

Maria Reiter started playing the accordion when she was four years old. Her teachers included the Basque accordionist, composer and conductor Enrique Ugarte .

After first engagements as a stage musician, u. a. at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden , Maria Reiter devoted herself to independent projects and CD productions in the field of reading, radio plays, cabaret, chansons and new chamber music. She regularly collaborates with the actors Krista Posch , Petra Lamy, Salome Kammer , Michael Heltau and Wolf Euba as well as with the composer and pianist Rudi Spring , with whom she a. a. 1994 founded the ensemble Così fan Tango (accordion, dulcimer and piano). Since 1997 she has been an accordionist in Konstantin Wecker's band , and since 2002 a member of the Non Sordino ensemble (accordion, violin, cello and double bass).
