Maria Schneider (politician, 1898)

Maria Schneider (born October 15, 1898 in Vienna ; † November 7, 1979 there ) was an Austrian politician of the National Economic Bloc (NWB).

education and profession

After attending primary school , she went to grammar school and did her doctorate in teaching studies in natural sciences and geography at the University of Vienna . She taught at Viennese secondary schools in Hernals and Hietzing and became a professor . In 1938 she became senior teacher .

Political functions

Maria Schneider was the founder of Völkische Nothilfe, which was later renamed German Nothilfe. She worked in the Reich Association of German Women's Associations in Austria and held positions in the Gaufrauenschaftsabteilung of the Nazi women's association .
