Maria Trautmann (theologian)

Maria Trautmann is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Maria Trautmann (née Waibel) studied education at the University of Augsburg from 1963 to 1966 . In 1969 she passed the second examination for teaching at elementary schools.

From 1969 to 1973 she studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the University of Regensburg and the University of Würzburg . In 1973 she passed the theological diploma examination and was a part-time religion teacher at a grammar school until 1974.

From 1978 to 1980 she was a research assistant at the Chair of Religious Education. In 1979 it became on the topic of Significant Actions of Jesus. A contribution to the question of the historical Jesus in Würzburg is doing his doctorate . From 1982 to 1986 Trautmann worked as a religion teacher at the commercial vocational training school in the city of Würzburg.

From 1986 to 2010, Trautmann was Professor of Exegesis of the New Testament and Biblical Didactics at the Faculty of Religious Education and Church Educational Work at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and has been in retirement since March 15, 2010. Maria Trautmann is married to the German Roman Catholic theologian Franz Trautmann and lives with her family in Eichstätt .
