Maria Wageneder (born June 22, 1957 in St. Georgen am Ybbsfelde ) is an Upper Austrian special education teacher and politician ( Greens ). From 2003 to 2015 she was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag .

education and profession

Maria Wageneder attended elementary school and from 1967 to 1971 the secondary school. She then moved to the Scheibbs upper secondary school . In 1975 she passed her high school diploma there and then trained as a special school teacher in Vienna from 1975 to 1978. In addition, Wageneder studied psychology and education at the University of Vienna between 1975 and 1979 , but did not graduate. From 1980 to 2003 she worked as a special school teacher, and in 1981 she trained as a Montessori teacher.

politics

Maria Wageneder was a local councilor in Ried im Innkreis between 1997 and 2003 and from 2000 she was the leader of the Green parliamentary group. On October 23, 2003 Wageneder was sworn in as a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag. She was a member of the social committees and the committee on petitions and rectifications. Since 2005 she has been the district spokesperson for the Ried and Schärding districts .

Private

Maria Wageneder is married. She has two sons and two daughters. Her first daughter Rita Hatzmann is a film and theater actress. Wageneder moved to the Innviertel in 1984 and initially lived in the Braunau district. She has lived in Ried im Innkreis since 1992.
