Marianne Cathomen

Marianne Cathomen (born October 23, 1966 ) is a Swiss pop singer .

Life

Marianne Cathomen, who grew up in Graubünden , was occasionally on stage with her father as a schoolgirl. She sang hits by Paola , Claudia Jung and Audrey Landers . After completing a commercial school education and several stays abroad, she learned other professions in the hospitality and hotel industry in Switzerland and worked as a flight attendant at Swissair .

In 1989 she met her first husband Conradin Cathomen , with whom she ran a ski school in Laax / GR from 1990 to 1997. The marriage had two children. The two have been divorced since the beginning of April 2005. On December 24, 2008, she married her current husband, former FIFA Communications Director Markus Siegler.

In 1998 Marianne Cathomen got her first record deal and appeared on television for the first time on the show Musig Plausch . With the title Hey Baby, kiss me again , she won the 2001 International Grand Prix of Folk Music in Vienna.

In 2012 Marianne Cathomen moved to the USA. Today she lives in Florida on Anna Maria Island.

In 2015 she started her singing career again in the USA. Together with the live entertainment band The Europa Band, Marianne Cathomen has been touring the USA every year since then. In 2018 the US Army invited them to Guantanamo Bay . Since then, Marianne Cathomen has been back as a solo singer. She sings songs in English, German, French and Italian.
