Marianne Rendón

Marianne Rendón (born October 15, 1990 ) is an American actress , best known for her role as Susan Atkins in the movie Charlie Says and her role as Jules in the television series Imposters .

Life

Marianne Rendón grew up in New Rochelle , in the US state of New York . She attended the prestigious Bard College for her undergraduate studies until 2012 . Rendón was initially interested in dance and music, so she was a member of a band with the actress Lola Kirke . During her college days, she took a serious interest in theater, so she attended the Juilliard School , which she graduated with a Masters in Theater Studies in May 2016.

Shortly after completing her acting training, Rendón played a small role in the independent film Gemini . In September 2016 she was engaged for the Bravo television series Imposters . Rendón moved to Canada and starred as Jules in the con artist series Imposters from 2017 to 2018 . During her break from Imposters , Rendón played the role of Patti Smith in the biopic Mapplethorpe , in which she appeared alongside Matt Smith as the celebrated and controversial photographer Robert Mapplethorpe . After the Imposters work, the film Charlie Says about the Tate murders went into production in spring 2018 , in which Rendón played a leading role as Susan Atkins , again at Matt Smith's side.

In addition to her work in film and television, Rendón works for the theater, including appearances at Lincoln Center .
