Marianne von der Mark

Countess Marianne von der Mark (born January 29, 1780 in Potsdam-Babelsberg , † June 11, 1814 in Paris , full name Marianne Diderica Friederike Wilhelmine von der Mark ) was an illegitimate daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm II. And Wilhelmine von Lichtenau .

Two older sisters died in their first year of life, their brother was Count Alexander von der Mark , who died in childhood.

On March 17, 1797, she married the Hereditary Count Friedrich zu Stolberg-Stolberg (1769–1805), from whom she divorced in 1799. Their daughter was the poet Louise von Stolberg-Stolberg . On March 14, 1801, Marianne von der Mark married Baron Kaspar von Miaskowski . She also divorced him after giving birth to a daughter Josephine († 1862) and a son Adolph († 1838). In 1807 she married the Chevalier Etienne de Thierry († 1843), with whom she had two daughters. The older of the two, Eugenie, married a half-brother of her mother.
