Maricela Chavez
Maricela Chávez ( Maricela Aurora Chávez Reyes; born September 24, 1962 ) is a former Mexican walker .
In the 10,000-meter walk, she won silver at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in 1989 and at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1990.
In 1991 she took bronze over 10,000 m at the Pan American Games in Indianapolis and came in 18th place in the 10 km walk at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo .
Also over 10 km, she finished 28th at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and 40th at the 1993 World Cup in Stuttgart.
She set her personal best over 10 km of 44:10 minutes on May 23, 1993 in Brandýs .
