Wolfgang Beckermann (born August 5, 1959 in Greven ) is a German local politician ( non-party ) and full-time first city councilor in Osnabrück . He is a member of the culture committee of the German Association of Cities .

Life

First alderman and city treasurer in Greven (until 2016)

Wolfgang Beckermann holds a degree in administrative management and was city ​​treasurer and first deputy member of the administrative board and general representative of Mayor Peter Vennemeyer in his home town of Greven until 2016 . Before he was elected as an alderman, his professional focus was on a wide variety of functions in public administration and administrative science - including as head of central control in Greven and as an administrative scientist in the modernization of local government .

Research and teaching in public administration

Beckermann also lectured at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia on topics of public business administration (ÖBWL) such as human resources management and organization, in a master’s course at the University of Kassel (MPA) in innovation management and at the study institute Westfalen-Lippe in the field of administrative organization .
