Maridi is a small town of about 18,000 people in Maridi East County, Western Equatoria state in South Sudan . The place is not far from the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo , about 295 km west of Juba , the capital of South Sudan. Maridi is the state's most important trading post and has a regional airport with an unpaved runway.
With the help of USAID , a power station was inaugurated in Malidi in 2011.
