Marie Becker (born March 11, 1875 in Cologne , † July 29, 1930 in Hamburg ) was a German seamstress and politician .

Life

Marie Becker (nee Hillger) was the daughter of the postman Nicolaus Hillger, born in Kottenheim , and his wife Elisabeth Hillger, nee Hilger, from Ettringen . She attended elementary school in Cologne, where she also trained as a lingerie dressmaker. This was followed by positions as manageress in Dusseldorf, Bonn, Altona and Hamburg. In 1909 she married in Hamburg and the following year she started her own business at FW Becker .

She belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1924 to 1927 , she was a member of the faction of the German People's Party .
