Marie Lea Meimberg (born October 7, 1983 in Leimen ) is a German musician , YouTuber and producer of audiovisual media.

biography

Meimberg was born in Leimen near Heidelberg . She graduated from the Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Cultural Management . She has been running her own YouTube channel since 2012.

She worked as a "channel manager" and director at the internet marketing company Mediakraft Networks . At the film company UFA , she worked in the UFA Labs as an author for the web series Trigger TV and as a consultant at MESH Collective .

Meimberg produced his own music in 2011 with Alphaville keyboarder Martin Lister . In 2012 she directed a video by musician Andi Fins. For the episode The Last Song of the crime series SOKO Leipzig , whose script was written by her husband Manuel Meimberg , she wrote three songs with Martin Lister, which she recorded herself. The title I believe was then published as a download and reached number 86 in the German charts for one week in 2013.

Meimberg was chairman of the 301+ association , a network-like association of YouTubers from Berlin who advocate alternatives in the German YouTube scene.

She has been President of the Academy of the German Web Video Award (WVP) since 2014 . In 2017, however, she did not stand for election again, as she announced on her Facebook page.

Since April 2015 she has been running Meimberg GmbH in Berlin for the development, production and exploitation of audio and audiovisual media, advertising and promotional products.

She is one of the supporters of the Charter of Fundamental Digital Rights of the European Union , which was published at the end of November 2016.

From 2016 to 2019 she worked as a director and presenter in front of and behind the scenes for the format Bongo Boulevard produced on behalf of funk .

Meimberg is the wife of the director and screenwriter Manuel Meimberg .

Meimberg was nominated for the German Web Video Award in 2014 in the “Newbie” category.

In 2017 Marie Meimberg received an international Emmy Award for the ZDF series "Familie Braun" produced by her company (Meimberg GmbH).
