Marie Hermes Elisabeth von Baer, ​​Edle von Huthorn (born September 25, 1866 in Wallküll , Estonia , † February 10, 1929 in Arnsdorf ) was a German writer .

Life

Baer was born as the daughter of the landowner Hermann von Baer († 1869) on the Wallküll estate. Her father died when Baer was three years old. Baer moved to Dresden with her mother . She married her brother-in-law, the sea captain August von Baer, ​​son of the natural scientist Karl Ernst von Baer .

The family moved to the Jessen estate near Pirna , where Baer and her two siblings received lessons from private tutors. From the age of eleven, Baer attended Anna Eblinger's institute in Dresden. She dealt intensively with painting and wood burning. From 1901 Baer was active as a writer. After Baer lived in Blasewitz near Dresden around 1913 , she was later brought to the sanatorium in Arnsdorf , where she died in 1929.
