Marieluise Fleißer Prize
The Marieluise Fleißer Prize is a literary prize in memory of Marieluise Fleißer . It has been awarded every five years since 1981, every three years since 1986 and every second year since 2001 by the city of Ingolstadt on November 23, Fleißer's birthday. The prize has been endowed with 10,000 euros since 2002. The award of this prize was an obligation that arose through the takeover of the Marieluise Fleißer archive. According to the guidelines, the prize is awarded to German-speaking authors whose works, like Marieluise Fleißer's, focus on the conflict between unfulfilled claims to happiness and everyday life.
