Marienretabel (Bernos-Beaulac)
The Marian retable in the Notre-Dame Catholic Church in Bernos-Beaulac , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 18th century. The baroque retable of the Marian altar was added to the list of listed objects ( Base Palissy ) in France in 1971 as Monument historique .
The wooden reredos, about five meters high and four meters wide, are depicted on the outside left with the depiction of Tobias accompanied by the Archangel Raphael and on the outside on the right with St. Blaise . In the middle, framed by two columns, there is a sculpture of Mary . A dove, the symbol of the Holy Spirit , can be seen in the extract .
