Marian column (Aub)
The Marian column in Aub , a town in the Lower Franconian district of Würzburg ( Bavaria ), was created in 1732. The Marian column on the market square is a protected architectural monument .

The figure of Our Lady with baby Jesus stands on a pillar above a table-like base . This is a copy because the original sculpture is in the town hall. The work, made of sandstone , comes from Leopold Kurzhammer . Our Lady is depicted in a halo and with a crown on her head. She holds a scepter in her left hand .
