Marian vespers
Marian Vespers is a name for the liturgical celebration of the evening prayer , the Vespers , on Marian feasts .
Based on the hymns and psalms of the Marian Vespers, the following composers of sacred music , among others, have created a work also called Marian Vespers (Italian Vespro della Beata Vergine ).

An example of a contemporary Marienvesper is the Marienvesper for women's choir, congregation and organ , which Wolfram Menschick on the occasion of the visit of Pope Benedict XVI. In 2007 he composed in Altötting .
