Marija Rekst
Marija Rekst (Polish Maria Rekść ; born November 9, 1956 in Daulėnai , Rajongemeinde Šalčininkai ) is a Lithuanian politician of Polish origin.
Life
In 1975 she completed her accounting studies at the Agricultural Technical Center in Vilnius and in 2009 she studied pedagogy in Łódź . From 1975 to 1977 she worked in the "Akmenynės" kolkhoz in the Šalčininkai district and from 1977 to 2003 in Rukainiai . Since 2004 she has been the mayor of the Vilnius Rajong Municipality .
She was a member of the Lietuvos komunistų partija and from 1988 the Lietuvos lenkų sąjunga and from 1994 the Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija .
She is married. With her husband Vladislav she has the children Alicija and Vladislav.
