Marijan Urtić (born January 16, 1991 in Lucerne , Switzerland ) is a Croatian football player on the position of defender who has been under contract with SC Kriens since July 2017 .

Career

Urtić was born in Switzerland as the son of a Yugoslav emigrant couple from today's Croatia. He began his career as a football player in the youth of FC Luzern . In 2008 he was promoted to the U-21 squad there. Due to injury-related failures in the professional team, he was now and then also in the professional squad of the club; Urtić made his professional debut in the Axpo Super League on April 24, 2010 when he came on as a substitute for Elsad Zverotić in the 33rd minute of the game against FC Zurich . In the further course of the season he came on four more missions, two of which over the full game. In the following season 2010/11 he came back to five appearances in the top Swiss league, also in the final phase of the season. Then he came back to use in the U-21 of the club. By 2011, Urtić also completed an apprenticeship as a polymechanic at the Lake Lucerne Shipping Company .

In February 2012 Urtić was loaned out to SC Kriens in the Challenge League for half a year , in which he played six games. He was then taken over by SC Kriens where he stayed for another six months and then moved to FC Wohlen .

In July 2016 he moved to FC Chiasso , where he signed a contract until the end of June 2017. A year later, he switched back to SC Kriens, for which he was last active in 2013, with which he was promoted back to the Challenge League for the 2018/19 season.
