Marin Morrison (born June 19, 1990 in Great Falls , Montana , † January 2, 2009 ) was an American swimmer.

Morrison spent her childhood in Lansing , Michigan and Jacksonville , Florida, among others . In February 2005, Morrison was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a rare combination of astrocytoma and ganglioglioma . After three operations during the year, the doctors found themselves unable to remove the entire tumor. As a result of the third operation, Morrison was now paralyzed on the right side and suffered from aphasia and apraxia .

In early 2006, the family moved to nearby Seattle, and Morrison began experimental new chemotherapy that slowed her disease progression. She attended Eastlake High School in Sammamish and continued her sporting activity as a swimmer.

In 2008 she was inducted into the United States Paralympic team. Despite a fourth operation in May shortly after she was admitted, she continued her training and competed in three competitions at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing .
