Marino Bulcani
Marino Bulcani , also Marino Vulcani (* first half of the 14th century in Naples , † August 8, 1394 in Assisi ) was a cardinal of the Roman Church .
Life
Bulcani was a nephew of Cardinal Francesco Renzio . He was a subdeacon of the papal chapel and apostolic protonotary and nuncio at the court of King Charles III. from Naples .
Pope Urban VI. elevated him to cardinal in the consistory of December 17, 1384 and appointed him cardinal deacon with the title deaconry Santa Maria Nuova on November 20, 1385 . In 1385 he was Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, in the same year he became Archpriest of Santa Maria Maggiore , which he remained until his death. He took part in the conclave in 1389 , from which Boniface IX. emerged as Pope. In July 1390 he was Cardinal Protodeacon and in February 1394 Vice Chancellor of the Holy Roman Church.
Like Pope Gregory XI. , buried in the Basilica di Santa Francesca Romana in Rome .
