Mario Alejandro Ruiz (born January 12, 1977 in Morelia , Michoacan ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .
career
Ruiz began his professional career in 1997 with the Monarcas Morelia , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in Torneo Invierno 2000 and was runner-up in both tournaments of the 2002/03 season. In the summer of 2003 he switched to the UANL Tigres , with whom he was again runner-up in the 2003 Apertura - and thus personally three times in a row (!) -. In 2005 and 2006 he won the InterLiga with the Tigres twice in a row, which was only held between 2004 and 2010 .
