Mario Holetzeck

Mario Holetzeck (born January 31, 1963 in Greiz ) is a German theater director, film and theater actor.

Life

Before Holetzeck became interested in the theater, he took on numerous positions, such as a night watch, a telegram deliverer or a cleaner. Only later did he study directing and acting.

From 1998 on, Holetzeck worked as a professor at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg , but after four years he moved to the universities in Munich , Frankfurt and Rostock .

In 2002 he got his first television role in the film Das Jesus Video , which is based on the literary model by Andreas Eschbach , two years later he played again in a film with a mystical-historical background, this time in the role of William Blanchefort in the film Das Blood of the Templars .

From 2008 to 2017 Mario Holetzeck was acting director at the Cottbus State Theater. Since September 2017 he has been working as a freelance director again.
