Mario José Serra

Mario José Serra (born March 12, 1926 in Buenos Aires ; † July 9, 2005 ) was a Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires .

Life

Mario José Serra was ordained a priest on December 4, 1949 .

On May 28, 1975 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires and titular bishop of Mentesa . The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Juan Carlos Aramburu , donated him episcopal ordination on August 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Vicente Faustino Zazpe , Archbishop of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz and Eduardo Francisco Pironio , Bishop of Mar del Plata .

On February 8, 2002, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.

He died on July 9, 2005 at the age of 79.
