Mario Le Mole (* 23. January 1967 in Rüdersdorf as Mario Schneider ) is a singer of German heavy metal band Mind Odyssey .

Mario Schneider began his career with the East German heavy metal band Merlin. The band produced various titles for radio in the GDR and for the East German record label AMIGA . With “after the war” Merlin achieved a number one hit in 1989 in the East German rock hit parade “ Beatkiste ”. Merlin participated in rock festivals including Rock for Peace and Rock for Unicef . At that time, Mario was still performing under his maiden name. Only when Gema asked him for a pseudonym in 1991, since his real name had already been taken, did he call himself Mario Le Mole. The end of the GDR was also the end of Merlin.

During the recording of Speed Up in East Berlin Amiga club, he went into the studio in Kreuzberg Music Lab Berlin by Harris Johns , where he developed the demo Illusions with Gracious Violence resumed. This demo established contact with musician and producer Frank Bornemann . He liked the recordings and got a record deal. Illusions was number 1 in the Japanese demo charts . After artistic differences, Le Mole left the band. He founded the band Mind Odyssey with Dan Uhden (Merlin), Rocco Stellmacher (Merlin) and Volker Schultz (Gracious Violence). However, this line-up only stopped for the first CD Keep it all turning . This was followed by various changes of musicians, which resulted in Victor Smolski joining the band in 1995 .

Mario Le Mole also published a musical and conceptual implementation of the American film classic Soylent Green with Charlton Heston under the name Pandea together with Dan Uhden . Various former GDR musicians are involved, including Norbert Schmidt ( Formula 1 ), Norbert Klempo Bode ( Biest ), Victor Smolski and Buzz Dee ( Knorkator ).
