Mario Ortiz Ruiz (born March 24, 1989 in Santander ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Ortiz began his career in his hometown with Racing Santander . In January 2007 he made his debut for Racing Santander B in the Segunda División B . With Santander B he had to relegate to the Tercera División at the end of the season . From the 2008/09 season they played in third class again. That season Ortiz was in the professional squad of Santander for the first time. He made his debut in the Primera División the following season in January 2010 against Real Valladolid . In early February of the same year he was awarded to the second division CD Castellón . With Castellón he had to relegate to Segunda Division B at the end of the season.

In the summer of 2010 Ortiz was awarded to the third division UB Conquense . For Conquense, he was used in 33 games in Segunda División B, in which he was able to score a goal. In 2011 he switched to CD Puertollano . In the 2011/12 season he came to 27 missions in the third highest Spanish division, in which he was able to score a goal. Puertollano, however, had to be relegated to the Tercera División and so he moved to Espanyol Barcelona B for the 2012/13 season .

In January 2013, Ortiz was awarded to Albacete Balompié and committed in the summer of the same year. With Albacete he rose to the Segunda División in the 2013/14 season . After two seasons in the second division you had to relegate to the Segunda División B.

For the 2016/17 season Oritz moved to the third division team Cultural Leonesa and was signed up for the Belgian club KAS Eupen a year later . Ortiz loaned it to Leonesa for another year and from the 2018/19 season he will play permanently for CF Reus Deportiu . But just six months later, because of the license withdrawal and the associated forced relegation Reus, he switched to Racing Santander .
